Nature’s effect on our wellbeing

26/3/2025

If you are my client, or if you’ve been following me on instagram for a while, you already know my obsession with nature. Trees, plants and animals have always fascinated me. It calms me down, grounds me, and make me feel like home. If I have any doubts about something, to spend some time in the nature makes everything clear. Anything from the almost spiritual and healing sensation, that makes you feel like you really are a part of the universe, to the obscure little weird facts, like about butterflies, lichens and mushrooms!

Already, we have entered a new year. Already, the light is returning and the days are slowly getting longer again. It is still the time of hibernation and contemplation, but I’m also starting to feel an excitement for this new year we have ahead of us.

The lost art of being bored

I’m a big fan of rest. Huge fan actually. Resting, recovering, breathing. Always planning my days with a lot of space for slow mornings, and planning my weeks with a lot of time for audiobooks and gazing out over the river. I’m even planning trips I'm taking with extra space before and after, just to give myself time to mentally prepare, and to rest.

In today’s world everything seems to go faster and faster, and it happens almost without us noticing. We are getting so used to the uptempo and the high speed that we are becoming speed blind. Have you lately checked out your old favorite children programmes, just to realize how incredible slow they are so you’re just wondering how you even could focus and find it interesting for more than five seconds? Or feeling nostalgic and dug out and old hit from the 80s or 90s, that you used to dance like crazy to and get all excited about, just to realize, it actually doesn’t have a very fast paste?!

An Introduction to Trauma Tapping Technique and Peaceful Heart Network

20/3/2024

Trauma Tapping Technique (TTT) is a technique to cope with trauma, anxiety and stress. It’s often called a “first aid” technique and is a great complement to other types of therapies. It’s a simple technique that is easy to use, easy to learn and easy to teach. It’s silent which means that there’s no need to orally share difficult emotions with someone else. If you’re struggling with anxiety, stress, trauma, or if you feel emotionally uncomfortable in any way, TTT can be a great tool on the way.
Trauma Tapping Technique is developed by The Peaceful Heart Network, a non-profit organization founded by Gunilla Hamne and Ulf Sandström in 2010

When tapping, you can sit or lay down comfortably, have your eyes open or closed, what ever makes you feel more comfortable and safe. Then tap, using two fingers, on specific points on your body; on the hand, face, chest, under the arm and on the fingers. This is done two rounds while you’re thinking ever so lightly on the difficult emotion you’re feeling.

For a start

After having my website up for a few months, I was thinking it’s time to get this blog running as well!

My idea with this blog is that I want to create a space where I can share things with you, ideas, thoughts, knowledge etc. A space that is a little bit further away from all the fast paced social media platforms. A space that is maybe a little bit calmer, that maybe can encourage a little bit more stillness and reflection in our everyday life.

I will most likely make posts about a big variety of topics, but all within wellbeing and health. Of course things related to massage, but also for example tips on exercises for pain relief, stretching, strengthening etc, and things related to mental wellbeing such as stress relief, mindfulness and meditation. All mixed up with some reviews and recommendations for books, films, podcasts and music in the area.

I hope you're in for the ride! :)
/Hanna
