My training is in Swedish massage and I'm specialized in deep tissue massage which refers to, and target, deeper soft tissues in the body, such as muscles and fascia. Deep tissue massage is especially good for people with (long-stay) pain, chronic pain and contracted muscles, that causes for example headaches, pain in the shoulder area, lower back pain, knee problem etc.
This type of massage can be perceived as more intense than a relaxing massage, and the pressure used is slightly stronger. However, your needs and comfort are always in focus, and if your mind and body would be in need of a more relaxing massage that is of course what you will get. |
Massage without oil
There can be many reasons why someone don't want to have a massage with oil, for example you are allergic, don't feel comfortable to undress, or you simply don't like the feeling of oil on your skin. Any reason is a valid reason. In this case I adjust my techniques so my deep tissue massage is very well suited for massage without oil. Instead of longer strokes or "kneading" directly on the skin, I work more with compression techniques usually over a towel. The pressure I use vary, but even so this way of working can sometimes feel a bit more intense than a deep tissue massage with oil, because there won't be the more relaxing strokes in between the more focused and deeper techniques. If you have more questions regarding this, don't hesitate to ask! |
It is in my best interest that you as a client feel welcomed, relaxed and safe during the sessions.
